Over 170 foods have been reported to cause allergic reactions. Some of the top food allergens are peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, and milk.
It’s reported that 5.6 million kids, under 18, have one or more of these allergies. Tree nuts and peanut allergies are reported to have tripled between 1997 and 2008. Medical procedures to treat severe allergic reactions are reported to have increased by 380% between 2007 and 2016.
